B-shift AutoStore Inventory Control

Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To operate Warehouse management system, SynQ, and other necessary software systems to solve and oversee AutoStore issues, exceptions, and discrepancies.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

1. Receive work orders and prioritize tasks to meet operational goals and customer demands in a fast-paced environment.
2. Using the warehouse management system and AutoStore control software to cycle count and adjust product within the AutoStore safely and accurately.
3. Resolve pick and pack exception totes and boxes adjusting within the AutoStore.
4. Accurately reprint labels as needed.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including proper handling of equipment, materials, hazardous substances as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
6. Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly condition.
7. Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and practices.
8. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
9. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

• High School education or equivalent.
• Ability to work a schedule based on the understanding of responsibilities and priorities.
• Ability to accurately read and match numbers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate to personnel.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
• Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required.
• Previous experience operating an AutoStore system or similar systems (WMS) and inventory control software is preferable but not required.
• Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment’s 12 Core Competencies.
