COMPLIANCE INTERN 

We are searching for a compliance intern to join our Legal and Compliance teamYou’ll be an active member of the growing function that is assessing and managing risk across the organization. We pride ourselves in working collaboratively to address and resolve a wide variety of corporate compliance responsibilities, including transactions, trade compliance, risk assessments, and global product sourcing. We are a team that champions change, removes roadblocks and builds a culture where everyone can win together!   

Some of the responsibilities will include: 

  • Researching compliance issues impacting business strategy 
  • Assisting with the drafting and compliance documentation  
  • Attending intra and inter-department meetings  
  • Collaborating with internal teams on cross-group projects

What we look for in our Interns 

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. 
  • Applicant should have a desire to work in a corporate regulatory compliance setting. 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across many diverse internal groups and teams 
  • Ability to research and learn new concepts and compliance issues quickly to facilitate problem solving 
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to form lasting relationships across departments 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills 
  • Coachable and self-motivated to learn and exceed your own expectations 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver exceptional work in a short timeframe. 
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, Westlaw, and Adobe Acrobat. 

Compensation:  $20/hourly 

Location:  Burnsville, MN (hybrid) 

This position will be located at Northern Tool + Equipment’s corporate office with the ability to work remotely 2-3 days per week.
