PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

To safely and timely collect and return equipment from assigned retail locations to the Regional Service Center (RSC) and back again. Routes are assigned daily and requires prompt attention and safe handling of all customer and company owned equipment and parts.


MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:


1. Communicates with Service Writer and Parts and Service Technicians to coordinate pick up and receiving of equipment between retail locations and RSC.

2. Loads and unloads equipment for delivery.

3. Assists with inventory ordering, staging, and stocking of the needed parts by Small Engine Mechanics to repair equipment.

4. Assists customers at Parts, Service and Repair (PSR) Counter in the Spoke Service Center with parts order fulfillment or equipment check in process; securing the Equipment Assessment Fee (EAF), on all power equipment being brought into store for repair, and updates customers throughout the repair process.

5. Communicates with customers regarding the equipment repair status, additional repairs that may be required or suggested, answers questions and informs of repair completion.

6. Works with the central warranty claim team to assist in the claims process.

7. Provides assistance in the physical inventory program at your RSC and assigned retail locations.

8. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

9. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• A valid Drivers License and safe driving record
• At least 2 years experience in a driving and/or delivery capacity
• Experience in small engine repair preferred
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel and others.
• Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment’s 12 Core Competencies.
