Northern Tool + Equipment is seeking a talented Creative Services Manager.
This role will serve as the backbone of the in-house creative services team overseeing and reporting all department initiatives, implementing positive change, this role understands the speed of retail and the importance of digital work in the Omni Journey and its impact on the business — this role connects the dots.
You’ll consistently deliver elevated, informed work given an evolving brand and a demanding business. This role navigates challenges and leverages relationships to land solutions and solid recommendations with nimbleness.
In this role, you’ll serve as a key cross-functional touchpoint – bringing multiple departments together to achieve groundbreaking creative deliverables. An integral role in the communication and organizational leadership for the in-house Creative team. You’ll have visibility and provide leadership into all active and upcoming workstreams – innovating, iterating, and introducing processes & systems that best work within the in-house team leveraging state of the art project management tools. You have a deep understanding of the creative process, budgets, timelines, and clients. Constantly looking for ways to optimize workflow and efficiencies, maximizing the team’s effectiveness.
This leader will manage a project management team, create, and implement process improvement efforts and resource planning for a team in house and external creatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Workfront Super User, implement Workfront across the creative and internal reviewer teams. Develop critical reporting and calendar visibility within the tool, from intake to prioritization and project classification.
- Ensure the highest creative standards are achieved and on-brand.
- Effective communication skills and calm under pressure – ability to work within the highly iterative nature of creative development and production.
- Ensure accuracy on all work including meeting legal, compliance.
- Own and understand capabilities and production needs for all creative production types (video, digital media, web, print, signage).
- Manage and prioritize timelines/project calendars for launch campaigns, studio category workload, creative and content projects, brand partnerships and activations, ecomm initiatives, and digital media production.
- Schedule and gather presentation elements for Quarterly Creative Reviews
- Manage internal project management and creative asset team members.
- Lead communications and change management for all process optimizations.
- Leveraging Workfront, build tracking dashboard for creatives, by role, to monitor creative deliverables, prioritize work, ID outstanding needs, daily tasks, and feedback log.
- Manage external contributors – leveraging project management tool, ensure network of creative collaborators which could include creative freelancers, production houses animation studios, etc.
- Ability to effectively traffic and manage day-to-day creative workstreams.
- Maps all marketing department processes, ensuring the proper amount of time to plan, cost out, execute, and memorialize learnings for the next campaign or effort.
- Documents existing and new processes; defines forms necessary for proper flow. Develops operational process improvements and procedures to improve quality, efficiency, and capability of marketing resources.
What you will bring to the table:
- 5+ years of hands on Workfront experience from implementation, creating and delivering reporting to user training.
- 5+ years of experience in project or traffic management in an advertising agency or in-house creative team environment.
- Workfront and Lytho expert.
- Experience in developing and communicating workstream and workflows.
- Experience prioritizing multiple projects and tasks with changing requirements.
- Incredibly strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills, ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under tight deadlines with strong project and time management skills.
- You must live in Minnesota and be able to go into the corporate office, located in Burnsville.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong background with project management concepts, methodologies, and tools
- Understanding of marketing strategy, creative, photography/videography, print production, media and digital.
- Change management experience.
