Your top priority as an Associate Merchandising Analyst is to collaborate closely with merchandising, retail operations, and marketing teams to ensure the successful execution of promotional campaigns. Your primary responsibility will be to drive customer engagement and sales through well-planned and executed promotions. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the planning and coordination of promotional campaigns, serving as the key merchandising partner for marketing, inventory and retail operations. 
  2. Oversee the execution of promotional campaigns, ensuring appropriate inventory levels across channels and system set is done properly.
  3. Serve as the point person for all promotional activities across the organization.
  4. Identify insights, analyze category results and opportunities across financial metrics including sales, margin and ROI that impact the category and communicate findings, analysis, and recommendations to team.
  5. Partner with merchants to slot products, analyze vendor funding and make pricing recommendations in alignment with category strategy.
  6. Develop and interpret forecasts and margin trends for specific categories to determine optimal financial performance and growth opportunities.
  7. Partner with the merchandising category teams to provide insights and recommendations on promotional pricing, product offerings, line reviews, new SKUs, vendor funding and financial strategies. Analyze the business strategy and forecast to deliver profitable sales.
  8. Collaborates with merchandising and pricing team to analyze and recommend effective promotions and pricing management to drive revenue, margin and rate. Understands and analyzes key business metrics for the category and provides recommendations and support to deliver profitability.
  9. Executes promotional data quality during the ad planning lifecycle. Tracks and analyzes results of promotional price and product adjustments. Partners with manager on promotional strategies related to market dynamic changes, pricing trends and market opportunities.
  10. Leverage data analytics tools to organize, summarize, and visualize data into meaningful insights that drive Merchandising initiatives and decision making. Assist in the development and management of tools supporting business reporting and measuring product performance.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Merchandising, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Merchandising, Finance or Retail Analytics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence others, gain buy-in and bring group to consensus leveraging data.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Methodical and logical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with key partners.
  • Ability to organize and manage a variety of activities while addressing multiple priorities and quickly react to changing business needs while meeting firm deadlines.

  • Competitive Pay: Earn $59,600 to $85,950 annually, with your exact compensation personalized based on your skills, experience, and location. We believe in rewarding top talent with pay that reflects your value. 
  • Variable Pay: Variable pay is a component of compensation that can fluctuate based on performance, results, or specific metrics, rather than being a fixed amount like a salary. Annual bonus tied to company performance are paid annually. Incentive plans tied to an achievement-based outcome are generally paid monthly to quarterly.
    • The NTE AIP plan pay ranges from 5% to 100% of base salary. Eligibility is based on grade and roles that manage performance. Eligibility and payouts are outlined in the NTE AIP policy.
